Licensed California HCO · Newport Beach
In-home care that knows the person — not just the schedule.
Golden Age Companions is a licensed, family-owned home care agency serving coastal Orange County from our office in Newport Beach. Call and you'll reach someone who knows your case — not a national call center. A registered caregiver can be in the home within twenty-four to seventy-two hours — whether you’re arranging care for a parent, a spouse, or yourself.

CA Licensed HCO #304700544
What we mean by licensed
Not every home care company in California employs its caregivers. Registries refer you to an independent contractor and step back. A licensed Home Care Organization employs and supervises the caregiver in your home.
We employ our caregivers as W-2 employees. We carry workers’ compensation and general liability. We supervise the case. If someone is sick at 5am, that’s our problem to solve, not yours. HCO #304700544.

Six ways we help.
- 01CompanionshipConversation, a walk to the mailbox, a hand of gin rummy.
- 02Personal careBathing, dressing, and dignity — quietly done.
- 03Overnight careAn awake, alert caregiver through the night.
- 04Respite careA weekend, a vacation, or a Tuesday afternoon. You rest.
- 05Post-hospital recoveryThe seventy-two hours after discharge — handled.
- 06Memory care at homeAlzheimer’s and dementia care from a familiar face.
The signature
A day, from the inside.
This is what a Tuesday looks like in the home of one of our clients — a retired teacher in Corona del Mar, eighty-three, living alone since her husband passed. An illustrative composite drawn from how our care days are structured — not one specific client.
- 017:15am
Morning
Sarah lets herself in with her own key. Your mother’s blue mug comes down from the second shelf, coffee the way she takes it — half a teaspoon of sugar, real cream. Pills from the Monday compartment, checked against the chart taped inside the cabinet.
- 0211:00am
Late morning
A walk to the end of the block if it’s not too warm, or the crossword at the kitchen table if it is. Laundry started. The grab bar in the shower checked, dry towel laid out for after lunch.
- 032:30pm
Afternoon
A short rest with the ceiling fan on. Sarah sits in the next room with a book. The window is open a crack because that’s how she’s always slept. Text to you: “She’s down for a nap. Good morning.”
- 046:00pm
Evening
Dinner — something soft, something warm, plated on the good china because it’s a Tuesday and Tuesdays used to be bridge night. A phone call with her sister in Sacramento. Dishes done, counter wiped.
- 059:00pm
Night
Nightlights on in the hall and the bathroom. Water on the nightstand. Slippers where her feet will land. Sarah checks the door twice and writes the day’s notes for the morning caregiver — what she ate, how she slept last night, one small joke she made.

The founder
“I started this company at twenty-one, while helping care for my grandmother in Newport Beach. Everything we do — how we hire, how we schedule, how we answer the phone at 2am — comes from what I wished existed for her.”
